Experience in Monitoring, Analyzing database performance, Tuning and Allocation of server resources to achieve optimum database performance. Tracing and Performance tuning using SQL Profiler.
Experience in configuring Transactional and Snapshot Replication, Database Mirroring and Log Shipping in Production Environment
Proficient with SQL Server tools, including Enterprise Manager, Management Studio, Query Analyzer, Profiler, SQL Server Agent, DTS, SSRS and SSIS.
Experience Installing, Monitoring and Troubleshooting of SSRS & SSIS
Strong knowledge in SQL Server Reporting Services to Designing the SSRS reports according to the business need
Experience in T-SQL - Writing Stored Procedures, Views, Functions and Queries
Experience in developing the successful Backup strategies based on Recovery models.
Should have experience in third party backup tools such as, Tivoli Data Protector for SQL and HPOV monitoring
Experience to sync Pre-Production and Development database server environment with production.
Experience to Applying Security updates, hot fixes and SP up gradation.
Process Experience - Very strong in ITIL processes on Change Management, Problem Management, Incident Management and ITIL Process related activities
Provide 7x24 environment uptime supports to all SQL Servers.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral to interact effectively with application team, vendors and external customers.
Provide on-call/off-hours DBA support as well as perform weekend maintenance tasks.
Should have Experience in backup tools like TSM TDP, EMC Networker.
Knowledge in Unix OS is will be preferred.
Should have basic knowledge in managing and administration of Oracle RDBMS.
Should have knowledge in developing PL/SQL.
Should have basic Knowledge in Oracle installations and configuration.
Should have basic knowledge in Oracle Memory Architecture.
Should have knowledge in Oracle High availability solution (RAC).
Should have knowledge in Oracle Backup and Recovery.
Knowledge in Shell scripting will be an add one advantage
