Research Associate In a pioneering international initiative, Cornell University and Weill Cornell Medical College established Weill Cornell Medicine - Qatar (WCM-Q) in 2001 through a unique partnership with the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development. WCM-Q seeks candidates for a research associate position in Biostatistics and Epidemiology. The Infectious Disease Epidemiology Group (IDEG) at WCM-Q invites applications for a research position to: • Design and manage data for epidemiologic studies, employing conventional and advanced statistical techniques, and interpret findings. • Conduct advanced biostatistical analyses, including the development of predictive models, and create new analytical methods and testing procedures. • Prepare and maintain detailed records, logs, and summary reports of data and statistical analyses, and draft research plans for grant applications. • Supervise and assist research investigators in study designs and complex statistical analysis using computer software, provide guidance to faculty and research personnel on output interpretation, and contribute to the design of study instruments and protocols. • Develop and document biostatistical methods to enhance research processes, ensure compliance with research guidelines and standards, and provide training and management for research personnel to ensure timely completion of research deliverables. • Publish research findings in scientific journals and present them at major medical/scientific meetings • Perform other job-related duties as required. IDEG is a renowned research group in infectious disease epidemiology and is at the forefront of infectious disease research internationally. IDEG research has been published in leading scientific journals and has been key in the formulation of public health policy at the international level. Must Have • Ph.D. degree in in Biostatistics or Epidemiology is strongly preferred • Three or more years of experience in statistical analysis and data management
