Verify and ensure that required actions are taken on properly approved forms like time sheets (including OT forms), wage attachments, benefits etc. for the purpose of ensuring accurate preparation of payroll
Prepare a range of payroll related disbursements, which include encashment of annual leave fares, final settlements, employee loans, auto loan instalments, other allowances or deductions of contractual nature
Perform data analysis using payroll reports used for accurate and timely production of monthly payrolls as well as off-cycle correction payrolls
Prepare and analyze monthly and annual wage bill, as required by the Head of Payroll. Perform data analysis related to increments, variances etc. utilized for monthly metric reporting on case types, volume, and identifying trends
Develop and maintain payroll related process documentation to ensure compliance with policies and other statutory requirements
Maintain a record of all employee deductions (or adjustments)
Work closely with Head of Payroll to ensure coordination of analysis, implementation of key organizational projects and continuous improvement activities
Assist Head of Payroll in managing escalated cases to ensure accurate and timely resolution of employee concerns related to payroll and/ or vendor concerns
Work closely with Head of Payroll on periodic and annual external and internal audit requests
Respond to inquiries regarding payroll procedures and issues promptly (e.g. variable deductions from monthly payroll, contributions, direct deposits, etc.) for the purpose of providing necessary information for making decisions, assisting employees, taking appropriate action and complying with the established guidelines
