Hiring for a Business Development Manager, as a hands-on, outbound hunter across Kuwait / Qatar, for a global PaymentsTech SaaS platform client.

Client description:

Our client is a London-headquartered start-up SaaS FinTech company that provides a global scale Forex remittances platform (both Send side and Receive side) that enables instant foreign exchange remittances and payments through API-driven integration. Founded in 2014, they have scaled rapidly – especially over the past 3 years – and now host all major Merchants, Business Enterprises Banks, Forex Solutions Providers, Wallets, and other players in the ecosystem. Their leadership team is distributed across multiple continents and have business operations across the globe. • Title / Designation: Business Development Manager – Kuwait / Qatar
• Position Level – Associate Director / Director
• Reporting Manager: Regional Sales Head
• Location: Kuwait / Qatar

Role & responsibilities:

• Hunt for new customers across the region, as a single contributor, hands-on with deep involvement in execution, leading from the front
• Own the end-to-end sales cycle, including lead generation, managing live accounts, and working closely with C-suites to close deals
• Develop and manage strategic partnerships with Payments Services Providers (PSP’s), Acquirers, Banks, and other financial institutions
• Ensure excellent communication and internal coordination to roll-out new services taking into accounts market specificity (regulation, competition etc.)
• Attend trade shows, source leads, follow sales process and report back to sales management team

• Ensure all specific reporting within required time frame including full use of CRM tool with precision
• Provide timely feedback to line manager about performance, sales activity, account management and strategy
• Ensure account retention, contractual health, well-being, and maximum satisfaction of clients
• Initiate and maintain a strong link between customers and back-office services to ease communication and facilitate the resolution of any issues
• Identify trends by researching industry, related events, and announcements
• Effectively communicate the needs of your customers to the support team

Candidate requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• ~10+ years direct or indirect work experience in the Money Transfer, Payments, or Mobile
Financial Services Industry
• Hands-on, driven B2B salesperson from the fintech/payments world, especially selling to
PSPs
• Results-oriented with great skills in communication, organization, and negotiation
• Great networking skills
• CRM proficiency is a must
• Flexible, self-motivated, disciplined, takes ownership of job at hand
• Team-oriented, able to accept and create change
• Strong understanding of customer, market dynamics and requirements
• Ensure effective working relationships with all relevant clients/partners, third parties and
internal colleagues
• Strong sense of initiative and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail
• Fluent in English & Italian in both Verbal and Written
