Monitor planning and cost control schedules. Support CM/LPE to assess and negotiate on contractor’s additional cost and time claims arising throughout the duration of the contract and extending to completion.  Participate in the validation of the Design basis, area utilization, selection of essential standards, scheme layout for zoning of buildings and infrastructure, building facilities, concepts, philosophies, outline schedules, sequencing of activities, techno-economic studies, ease of maintenance, safe and environmental acceptability, and construction completion and procurement strategies.  Participate in or undertake the development of Scope of Work (SOW), specifications and design criteria for facilities and infrastructure projects, based on overall constructability aspect/input, for inclusion in tenders for Engineering Consultancy and/or Construction /Procurement Contracts.  Participate as requested in the committee to identify and assess capability resources and technical strengths of Consulting Site Engineers, Project/Construction managers, Vendors, sub-contractor Engineering Companies and Construction Contractors; and approve as per the delegation of authority assignments  Review various method statements, shop drawings during construction phase and submit for approval.  Participate in design during detailed engineering of to provide constructability and maintainability, as appropriate, for structural & Utilities/services design, fabrication, testing, installation and commissioning procedures for all the structures & Facilities of the project, which often involves sites visits.
