Job Description

Manage the production in the Shipyard including: 1) Industrial Shutdown and plants Maintenance, onshore and offshore steel structures fabrication 2) long term oil & gas (offshore and onshore) contracts 3) Ships dry-docking, afloat maintenance and repairs To manage proactively projects undertaken by the shipyard along with resources. To be responsible for the success of the assigned Shipyard projects/contracts with respect of time, scope of work, quality and budget. Candidate must have leadership role for not less than 10 years, should have handled independently large menpower projects. Technical and project Managerment ability is a must. Key Roles & Responsibilities For the shutdown and fabrication activities: Site Organization Management, resources ma nagement, and ability to handle critical situations Faced in plant shutdown, in the Fabrication or ship repair activities. Understanding and coordination of Fabrication and Erection of process piping and equipment erection. Planning Shutdowns and associated resources including subcontractor management and Plant & Machinery management For the ship repair and dry docking activities: Manage production in the Shipyard that includes a wide range of cost effective regular ship repair services such as dry-docking, afloat maintenance and repairs, steel fabrications, mechanical repairs, machining and electrical works Monitor and oversee progress, ensuring work complies with specification and client requirements, ensuring the construction and repair programs, including welding, machinery installation, electrical, auxiliary systems, outfitting, commissioning, sea trials and delivery of any assigned projects is safely completed as per quality standards, within the committed delivery time and within budget. Oversee personnel to mitigate and manage problems and risks found during projects.
