Role Overview The role will proactively support Relationship Managers enabling them to deliver best in class service to existing and prospective customers. The role holder will provide extensive support and is accountable for the end-to-end credit application process including, preparation of credit applications based on thorough analysis of the financial reports, research and other data sources / market intelligence, supporting RMs on credit related operations, facilitating timely execution of facility offer letters and draw downs, liaising with onshore/offshore credit support teams, etc. The role holder will work closely with the line management and a team of Relationship Managers on effective delivery of our overarching strategic objective of being the Leading International Bank by helping our customers fund their international growth aspirations. The role holder will develop credit proposals that best meet the customer needs, best align with their sophistication levels and are in accordance to HSBC’s standards and policy for risk appetite and returns. The role holder is responsible for timelines and quality of the proposals which directly influence our competitive edge and thus contribution to the set AOP targets. In addition, for execution of controls for effective risk management from a legal, compliance, operational and reputational perspectives. The role holder will closely work with Relationship Managers and the Relationship Support Manager–Client Management on varied set of credit risk related activities in essence freeing up Relationship Managers’ time for quality strategic conversations with our customers.
