The mechanical engineer will research and analyze data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application. Provide mechanical design service including determination of HVAC loads, equipment selection, duct sizing and routing, interior plumbing design, exterior plumbing design, and fire protection systems. The work location for this position is on the Al Udeid Air Base (AUAB) in Qatar. • Research and analyze data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application. • Design products or systems in support of facilities' infrastructure, research, or maintenance requirements. • Coordinate, troubleshoot, and approve installation activities as inspection services to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and specifications. • Establish mechanical engineering design criteria and provide guidance and evaluation for facility projects; determine HVAC loads, complete equipment selection, perform duct sizing and routing, design interior/exterior plumbing and fire protection systems. • Able to serve as the alternate project lead in the absence of the site manager. • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested. • Due to nature of the work, candidate must be a US Citizen. IND-MR Minimum Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, and four plus (4) years of design experience and be capable of determination of HVAC loads, equipment selection, duct sizing and routing, interior plumbing plans, exterior plumbing plans, and fire protection systems. • Proficient in AutoCAD 2012 or later. • Must have experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D GIS systems. • Must possess and maintain a Secret Security Clearance. • Due to the nature of the work, candidate must be US Citizen Preferred Qualifications
