Country : Qatar Description : VINIRMA Consulting is currently looking for UNIX Administrator for one of its clients which is a Business Consulting, IT Solutions and Services company in Qatar with the following skillset and terms and conditions. Skillset required: Education: University Degree (IT) Professional Certifications Work experience: 5-8 years of Systems Administration experience Professional experience: Working knowledge of UNIX Systems administration Working knowledge of event, incident & problem management processes and tools Main duties and responsibilities: • Manage bank’s UNIX Infrastructure hosting 180+ Production, DR and UAT Servers. • Experience with TCP/IP & general networking principles • Manage Volume Management on UNIX systems (lvm, zfs, nfs, raid, package management, performance tuning, kernel tuning) and managing the systems to ensure meet the SLA. • Managing Apache, Tomcat, Oracle Weblogic, NagiosXI Application and providing the support. • Hands on experience on Ansible and YML to automate daily process. • Perform annual DR Failover and failback for VMware Infrastructure servers using VMware site recovery Manager and Unix Physical Servers using SAN Replication. • Manage the latest Unix technologies are being implemented at bank IT Infrastructure through continuous fine-tuning and frequent enhancements • Storage Allocation and Migration with different EMC Storage systems • Oracle RAC server build and clustering Configuration and managing the systems and performing regular health checks. • Managing and handling various tools on Linux (Splunk, NetBackup, tomcat, apache, weblogic etc) • Working on Data Center related activities, coordinating with vendor for any hardware replacement or installing new devices and on Hardware in DC • Hardening the System based on CIS benchmark and ensure meeting as per InfoSec standards. • Identify manual task and automate of the daily activities using bash/awk shell scripting • Debugging issues and provide permanent fix to maintain stable environment. • Performing ON-call support on production environment to ensure maintain and meet the SLA. • Working with development/application teams to troubleshoot application issues, network issues and application performance tuning. • Handle hardware issues for disk, memory, CPU, NIC, HBA and coordinating with vendor to fix it with in the SLA. • Performing firmware upgrades on HP blades and Enclosures and OD kernel patching on UNIX servers. • Coordinate with vendors, technology partners in selecting new solutions and maintaining the existing devices • Coordinate and facilitate with other departments within the bank in their project implementations to ensuring proper security measures are in place • Familiarity with Business Continuity Planning Extend support for Internal and external audits Professional skills: • Strong organizational skills • Problem solving skills • Analytical thinking • Professional behavior
