Description : Supervises a team of technicians (various trades) and machinists in a gas plant workshop & in the outside field(plants). Familiar with all machine tools in a workshop, repair of rotating machinery components, heat exchangers repairs and re-tubing, valves reconditioning & refurbishment. Knowledgeable & skilled in balancing, welding, painting, tinsmith and civil crafts. A. Knowledge: Education: - Completion of secondary education(12 years) plus 2 years full time training in the mechanical discipline leading to possession of a recognized diploma. Experience: - Has working knowledge and maintenance experience(minimum 10 years) in the installation, maintenance and repairs of mechanical equipment in the maintenance department of gas plant, refinery or petrochemical plant. -Has a minimum of 15 to 20 years work experience in a workshop environment with hands on experience on all types of machinery. -Eight(8) years experience in a gas plat, refinery or petrochemical machine shop. -Minimum five(5) years experience in a supevisory position. B. Skills: -Computer Literate and use of a computerized maintenance management system(CMMS) -Fluent in english (Written, spoken) Competencies: -Ability to work under pressure day or night.
