Qatar Insurance-------- Civil Engineering Graduate with minimum 5 years’ work experience in underwriting of Property, Engineering & Casualty risks with an insurance company in GCC region and holding (or progressing towards) ACII certification from Chartered Insurance Institute, London. Job Description: Underwrite good quality risks within the authority limit specified in the Operations Manual and obtain prior approval from reporting manager for risks that fall outside the authority limit. Scrutiny of underwriting proposals for all lines of Property and Commercial Risks (Property, Engineering, Casualty, General Accident and Financial Lines). Determine insurance premiums, extent of insurance coverage and other conditions of the insurance contract. Assessment of risks and releasing quotations in line with the Company’s underwriting guidelines and reinsurance arrangement. Negotiate on premium and policy terms with Clients and Insurance Brokers. Inspecting risks, preparing inspection reports and provide risk improvement recommendations.
